Do you specialise in 1 audience or should you become a generalist?

This is a question I see come up a lot, so while I am sat here waiting for my Calzone

I wanted to share my views on it 🙌

If you have followed me for a while, you will know that DKnine Fitness is an over 30s studio

That wasn’t always the case

When I got started, I would just work anybody and everybody, which led to nobody really

Fast forward a few months, yeah I got way better at marketing and selling

But it was super obvious who we worked with… Busy Over 30’s

And DKnine Fitness has always been that way

Now for FitPro Lead Gen

I have never been super specific about who we work with

But what I wrote about is always gym owner stuff

Which naturally bring those type of clients our way

The interesting thing is, we also have a number of online clients, nutritions, Fitness Business mentors we run Ads for

Plus, we have dentists, a travel agency & procedures company too

These clients usually come from referrals or people who have been following and reach out

Which brings me into what my thoughts are on this topic….

Start with 1 core audience in mind

You don’t need to say that you ONLY work with that audience

Just focus everything on that topic

Become the go to for that one audience and then let the other audience come asking or reach out

You got this 💪

David 🙂
